People in America and Europe are making Airbnb reservations for their next holiday. Airbnb said that the number of bookings is higher now, than it was before the COVID-19 pandemic.
America and many European countries have been in a ‘lockdown’ since the start of 2021. Now, many of these countries are getting rid of the lockdown and letting tourists return for the summer.
Airbnb lost money in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they are close to making money again due to the increase in the number of reservations. Airbnb expects their business to be better than they have ever seen before once everything is back to normal, as everyone will try to go on holiday at the same time as each other.
