Bill Gates gets divorced
Bill Gates is one of the world’s richest men. He created the company ‘Microsoft’ with his friend in 1975. Yesterday he announced that he is getting a divorce with his wife Melinda Gates.
In 1987, Melinda joined Microsoft as a product manager and was very successful. Eventually, Melinda and Bill started dating. They got married in 1994 in Hawaii.
Bill and Melinda Gates are worth over $100 billion. Since the year 2000, they have been doing charity work, trying to make the world a better place. They send a lot of money to charities in Africa, where they want to improve hospitals and medical programs.
Bill and Melinda Gates announced their divorce on Twitter, saying “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage”.
