Aeroplanes use a lot of fuel, and they cause pollution. That’s why France wants people to use trains for short trips. Now, there are no more aeroplanes from Paris to Lyon, or from Lyon to Bordeaux. People must use trains for these trips now.

Some people were angry about this new rule. They said some people who work for “Air France” might lose their jobs.

Key words:

Flight – A plane trip.

Trip – Going from one place to another.

Fuel – Petrol/gas/oil

Pollution – Bad air quality.
